AvelCain - 彩虜-あやとり- (Ayatori)

Lyrics: 業-karma-
Music: eve
Kanji/romaji source: peffy

Kanji:

English: Cat's Cradle[1]
When I was a child I played alone
Tying strings, into a cat's cradle

"Stop it, it hurts."
"I'll listen to what you say."
"Please forgive me."
"Dad, mom..."

After dragging out a red color in a daze, the two remained hanging their heads in shame

Tying intestines, into a cat's cradle
Up until now I've done it very well, so
"Dad, mom, please praise me."

I hid the bruises
I hid the wounds
I hid them both in the dirt

Everyday came with hiding my guilty past
I have no place to return to with these feelings running down the cheek

Since then, no matter how much I search, I cannot find them
I want to be loved once
In a dream that won't come true
The stench of corpse entangles my slender fingers
I repeat every time I'm choking in sobs
"I'm sorry."

Translation notes:
[1] The song title is written with different kanji meanings to spell out あやとり(ayatori), which means "cat's cradle". The first kanji 彩(read as "aya") means "color". The second kanji 虜(read as "tori") means "prisoner". So the title can also mean something like a "color prisoner, prisoner of color", but I'm sure "color" refers to the "red color" as mentioned in the lyrics. My interpretation is that the person is a prisoner who is colored in red from their guilty past.
