As If in the darkness - inspire

Lyrics: mar
Music: 奉 (Tomo)

Kanji:

English:
I walk slowly, so as not to lose sight of the narrow light flickering in solitude
Even if I’m tired out and hurt, I am sure that I can still walk on the countless paths that spread before me

Wavering, wavering, the ticking beat
Despite now being such a time[1] like this

The sight I saw here and the past I saw yesterday, return to the place being swallowed in the drifting times
Even if the warmth of your hand is gone, I am sure that I can still walk on with its peaceful memory

Wavering, wavering, the ticking beat
Despite now being such a time like this
Wavering, wavering, until my voice grows hoarse

I am all alone here now

If I look back at those passed days, someday I will be able to see the sight I once saw
Gazing into the distance, I immediately stretch out my hands

Wavering, wavering, the ticking beat
Despite now being such a time like this

Wavering, wavering, until my voice grows hoarse
I am all alone here now

Notes:
[1] Translated from "時代"(jidai), which literally means period/era/age.

As If in the darkness - Liberation

Lyrics: mar
Music: Zumi

Kanji:
この狭い部屋
真っ白い壁
逃げ出したい

ここは虚像の世界

この暗い部屋
陰鬱な静寂
逃げ出したい

見上げた空

憧れた空は高く、とても青く
小さな窓の外へ

声を上げて 翼広げ
自由のナイフを胸に突き立てて
さぁ飛び立とう

声を上げて 涙堪え
自由のナイフを胸に突き立てて
さぁ飛び立とう

Take it from me

Romaji:

Take it from me

Translation:
This narrow room
Of pure white walls
I want to escape from it

It’s a world of illusions[1] here

This dark room
Of gloomy silence
I want to escape from it

The sky which I looked up at

The sky which I yearned for stands high, and stays very blue
I head outside the small window

I raise my voice, and spread my wings
Stabbing a knife of freedom into my chest
Now, I fly away

I raise my voice, and control my tears
Stabbing[2] a knife of freedom into my chest
Now, I fly away

Take it from me

------------------------------
Notes:
[1] Translated from "虚像"(kyozou), which literally means “virtual images” or “false images”.
[2] mar sings "突き刺して"(tsukisashite) rather than "突き立てて"(tsukitatete), but they both pretty much mean the same thing as "to stab".

As If in the darkness - 白昼の空色 (Hakuchuu no Sorairo)

Lyrics: mar
Music: 有希(Yuuki)

Kanji:

Translation: Midday's Sky Blue
Afraid of touch, a scar of bygone forgotten days locks itself in the heart
Melting together, the touch of those counted fingers, is a sky blue connecting to the depths of pain[1]

The rust-covered hand of a clock comes to a stop again, afraid of starting to move
Feeling gently, the shadow of time that looks back, in a transparent midday’s sky

If the glory of a believed future also ends, it turns into mere ashes, however
In the locked up heart of his, just a little is fine
For the strength to live, for the strength to live, for the strength to live[2]

Again, in the flow of a new age
Leave everything to it, the state of flow where it arrives at

Ride upon the winds
Dissolve into water
Flow towards the ocean
And return[3] to the sky
Eternally

The rust-covered hand of a clock comes to a stop again, afraid of starting to move
Feeling gently, the shadow of time that looks back, in a transparent midday’s sky

The rust-covered hand of a clock comes to a stop again, afraid of starting to move
Feeling gently, the shadow of time that looks back, in a transparent midday’s sky

----------------------------------
Notes:
Just clarifying that the "sky blue" in the title refers to the color, and not the blue sky.
[1] I am not really sure if I translated this whole line correctly.
[2] Some meaning is lost in translation. The phrase indicates that something wants to be done with "the strength to live", but it doesn't clarify what. One way to look at it is that whatever is done with "the strength to live" is left up to the person itself.
[3] The word used here is "還る"(kaeru), which is slightly different from the common "帰る"(kaeru) that refers to "returning back to one's home". The former kaeru refers to returning back to its origin or original form.

As If in the darkness - 歪む太陽 (Yugamu Taiyou)

Lyrics: mar
Music Zumi

Kanji: 歪む太陽
蛭に咬まれた 腕の傷跡が
肉を喰らい蝕む

散らばる肉片を拾い集め
歪な形の人形を作った
いつしかそれは心を知った
歪な形の心を知った

やがてそれは痛みを知った
悲しむことの痛みを知った
歪な形の痛みを知った

やがてそれは現実を知った

死に掲げた果て無き空へと堕ちて

cry…

end of under the sun
call it many times over

死に掲げた果て無き道へと堕ちて逝く
死に掲げた果て無き道へと堕ちて逝く

Translation: Deforming Sun
The scar on my arm made by a leech bite
Devours into my flesh

I gathered the scattered pieces of flesh
And made a deformed doll
Before knowing it, it became aware of the mind[1]
It became aware of a deformed mind

Eventually, it became aware of pain
It became aware of the pain of feeling sad
It became aware of a deformed pain

Eventually, it became aware of reality

Sinking with the endless sky held up in death

cry…

end of under the sun
call it many times over

Sinking further with the endless path[2] held up in death
Sinking further with the endless path held up in death

--------------------------------
Notes:
[1] Translated from "心"(kokoro), which can also mean "heart". I translated it as "mind" to avoid giving meaning to the heart organ.
[2] Written as "道"(michi), which I've translated as "path", but mar sings "sora", which means sky.

As If in the darkness - アローン (Alone)

Lyrics: mar
Music: Zumi

Kanji:

Translation: Alone
A foggy field of vision and a downpour of filtering sunlight
I can see from the gaps of my held out fingers shading my eyes

Rays of light illuminate the darkness
And I could faintly see the things I lost sight of

My drowned out voice barely echoes
My heartbeat can be heard in a stir

Listening carefully, I close my eyes, and feel
Yes, because I know everything already

The reverberations do not end,[1] it merely echoes across
Over there, what do I do, and where do I go

Repeatedly, repeatedly, I screamed, whenever I’m here
Unable to return, unable to return, to the path, deep in my consciousness

With things that repeat without meaning
The ringing in my ears continue incessantly
Even so, I’ll walk this path, and if I can take back the things I lost sight of

The path[2]…I cannot go back to
The meanings…I lost

…repeat them to me[3]

-----------------------------
Notes:
[1] In the original Japanese it literally means "it's not the end of reverberations", but I felt that it didn't flow very well with the following sentence so translated it this way instead.
[2] Written as "道"(michi) which I translated as "path", but mar sings "toki", which means "time".
[3] I had trouble translating this line because the one word used here, "繰り返して"(kurikaeshite), can have multiple meanings depending on how you look at it. However, I'm most certain that mar is expressing it in a commanding way, in that he wants something "repeated" to him. In this case, that something is the things referred to above in the preceding lines.
