[1] Not entirely sure about the "crouching my ribs" part.
[2] Literally "it calls transparency as opaque", but since mention of the sky and rain occur throughout the lyrics, I thought that maybe this was referring to the sky. Therefore, I substituted the words with "clarity" and "overcast".
