AvelCain - 蛇と姑獲鳥 (Hebi to Ubume)

Lyrics: 業-karma-
Music: eve
Kanji/romaji source: peffy

Kanji:

English: The Snake and Ubume[1]
The moon is devoured fleetingly, and I think about you who I still haven't seen yet
The midnight's silence and a beat inside the womb
Darling

The day is devoured sadly, and I sleep with you who I still haven't seen yet
Hope was torn away
I'll no longer be able to see you

In the rustling sky of dawn, the silent shell is now buried with reason of tears and leftover distorted thoughts

The pain of a coil crawling around the body are tears of regret
I continued calling you
Without clearing up the grudge here

The sky dyed in dusk does not know sadness, an empty cradle waits for a baby in solitude

I waited for you all along
I will hold you, who is sobbing within this bosom, tightly in an eternal dream

Translation Notes:
[1] Ubume is a type of yokai/ghost in Japanese folklore of a woman who died in childbirth. One translation of it includes "woman in late pregnancy". See wiki or this site for more info. The second link is especially informative and explains how when a pregnant woman dies she would be buried along with the unborn fetus still inside of her. Or other times the unborn fetus would be cut out of her and placed in her arms during burial. I think these two aspects of the story are relatable to the song.
