THE NOVEMBERS - 37.2°

Lyrics: Yusuke Kobayashi
Music: Yusuke Kobayashi

Kanji: 37.2°

You carry the smell of rain in your hands
Blown by the wind with the performing trees
It gently strained my ears
I had the feeling that it called my name
The time when your yawn melts in the night
The time when my prayers drift in the sky
The time when flowers bloom sparsely in a field
We're already tired of waiting
"It will surely be beautiful, right?"
"I don't want it to be like this forever"
I can't stay at the same place until it wears out
I wonder if we'll have a separate dream again

Before knowing it, we came from somewhere
What should we do from now on, where should we go?
What should we look at?

From finger to finger, from mouth to mouth
From skin to skin, we gathered our hearts
But it served no kind of purpose
They scatter all over the place
I will comb your black tangled hair
I want to see how much you'll smile

If the rain doesn't let up at this rate
I can't walk anymore, I'll drown
Let's paddle a small boat and go, just the two of us
Come, let's go to the ocean, let's go to the forest, let's go see the white horizon
I want to see the glittering sand that you kicked barefoot again
That day was like that too, wasn't it?

Notes:
Kobayashi once tweeted about a French film called "37°2 le matin" (Betty Blue in English) and might've named the title of the song after it. I don't know much more than that. I always thought it might've had some relation with the body temperature though so I'm not sure.
