AvelCain - 御手紙 (Otegami)

Lyrics: 業-karma-
Music: eve
Kanji/romaji: peffy

Kanji:

English: Letter
Beautifully[1]
A burial dream heads towards consciousness
These words are playing

Beautifully[2]
A burial dream heads towards consciousness
These words are playing

This very moment is already wounds of the past
Without you counting them, or destroying them

Even so now, they're deep wounds
A notice of grief[3] sends your way

The emotions I knew for the first time
Were lovingness, as well as sadness
Ah

Does it not reach you?
These words are withering away
We're drifting away
You're the first and last person
That's why, see, I spelled out my beloved

Beautifully
A burial dream heads towards consciousness
These words are playing

Beautifully
A burial dream heads towards consciousness
These words are playing

I'll write a final letter
As I am waiting for a reply

My tears well up
As I have no address

Does it not reach you?
These words are withering away
We're drifting away
You're the first and last person
That's why, see, I also spelled out grief only for you

Dear
You[4]. Please burn these piled up letters together with me to ashes.
                                                                           Yours truly

Translation Notes:
[1] In this line karma sings 美しく(utsukushiku), but uses the kanji reading of 憂(u) to spell it out. The kanji 憂 can mean grief and melancholy, but I kept the literal "utsukushiku" meaning and translated it as "beautifully".
[2] Same as [1], karma uses the kanji reading of 鬱(utsu) to spell out "utsukushiku". The kanji 鬱 means depression. Just a side note, but if you put 憂 and 鬱 together you get 憂鬱(yuutsu), which basically means depression, again. And this is why learning kanji can be a mess because there are so many out there that have similar meanings and so many that can be poetically used to spell out different words like karma did in these lyrics.
[3] The word used here 哀(ai), meaning grief, is most likely a play on 愛(ai), meaning love, as they both have the same reading/pronunciation. karma uses these interchangeably in other areas of the song.
[4] karma uses 様(sama) here, which adds politeness and elevates the status of the person directed. It is very difficult to translate or convey in English.
