The parts written in quotations are not indicated by pronouns, but my guess is that since the song is about "reminiscence" he is recalling the words that a past lover has said to him. On another note, I feel that the words "cowardly" and "heartlessness" are emphasized heavily in the song, which expresses all too well the feelings of pain and regret involved, and the way Tora sings almost makes me cry.
